CN3791Solar Charging Board
This is a solar charger used for single cell lithium battery maximum power point tracking (MPPT). This MPPT solar charger enables you to get as much power as possible from solar panels or other photovoltaic devices and install it in a rechargeable lithium battery. It is very easy to use, just insert the solar panel into one side of the solar charger, and then insert the battery into the other side, you can start charging!
Solar Maximum Power Point Tracking (MPPT) is to ensure that the light intensity changes and the photovoltaic cells output maximum power to make full use of solar energy. Generally, it is necessary to use a switch-mode DC-DC converter to realize the MPPT function, keeping the product of output voltage and charging current maximized (output).
The output of the solar charger is designed to charge a single polymer lithium-ion battery. The load should be connected in parallel with the battery. Each solar charger is equipped with a CN3791 power tracking battery charging circuit, and four 2-pin JST / PH2.0 connectors are preinstalled.
By default, we set the holding voltage for MPPT. Therefore, we have three versions with input voltages of 6V, 9V and 12V (corresponding to the operating voltage of solar panels of 6V / 9V / 12V), which is very suitable for applications with a large voltage difference between the input voltage and the battery voltage.
When the current output capacity of the input power supply is reduced, the internal circuit of CN3791 can automatically track the maximum power point of the solar panel. The user does not need to consider the worst case. .
Note: If the CN3791 MPPT solar charger is a 9V version, you must use a solar panel with an operating voltage of 9V.
